Thought for the day: Spending time with other believers brings you into the presence of God.
Scripture: Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three gather together in my name, there I am with them.
Application: Are you making it a priority to spend time with other believers to help encourage each other on your journey?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Help me to see how important it is to spend time with others in your family. Help me make this a priority in my life.

Thought for the day:  We all need someone to depend on.
Scripture: Proverbs 18:24
“There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother”
Application: Who is the face of God for you?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Thank you for putting people into our lives that can reflect your love. Please help me to be that person to someone else.

Thought for the day: God’s house is not a building, but a family of growing believers.
Scripture: Ephesians 2:19
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow
citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household”
Application: How are you reaching out to others in God’s family to help them in their needs?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Thank you for our fellow believers. Help us to gather together to help all who are in need. Let us share our faith with them.

Thought for the day: We all have a role in God’s family.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12: 19-20
“If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts but one body.”
Application: How are you applying your gifts in God’s kingdom?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Please help us to see where we fit into your
kingdom. Help us to use our talents whatever they are to further your
kingdom.

Friday, October 6th, 2006

Thought for the day: Life is designed for companionship.
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10
“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their work. If one falls down his friend can help him up.”
Application: Do you isolate yourself and try to do it all on your own?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for never leaving us alone. Help us to
realize when you bring companions into our lives that they are
present because you love us.

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

Thought for the day: Our job is to show God’s love to the people around us.
Scripture: 1 John 4: 11-12
“Dear friends, since god so loved us, we also ought to love one an other. No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”
Application: How do you show God’s love to people in your life?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Help us to extend your love to everybody in our lives. Let us increase your family here on earth.
