BUMC MISSION CORNER
Upcoming Local Mission Opportunities -

We are currently working with Murphy-Harpst to create a garden for the children. We need volunteers to bring landscape trailers (1-2) and tillers (3-4) to take up to the work site on Saturday, April 26. The garden will provide produce for the children to sell to raise money. This is a great opportunity for families of BUMC to do something together and teach young children and teens about serving.
SERV -
SERV is organizing a mission team to the Dominican Republic for May 4 to 9. The team will be responsible for a variety of tasks including basic medical care, Vacation Bible School, and some light construction. The team will also have many opportunities to share the Gospel.
A mission trip to Mexico is also scheduled from July 25 to August 2. The team will work at an orphanage and teach Vacation Bible School at night.
To register, please visit www.servintl.org and follow the link to the Registration Page. For more details, contact Brenda at bsherer@servintl.org or 770.516.1108. If you are interested in any of these missions, or if you have any local
ministries you would like BUMC to support, please feel free to contact Tal Cox at 770.310.6345 or Chris Holcombe at 404.276.0399.

OPEN DOORS, OPEN HEARTS
Take it to the Limit - A six-part message series for those whose schedules are too full and whose checking accounts are too empty! Our culture encourages us to live as if we have no limits. So we fill up our schedules and empty our bank accounts. We do as much as we can, spend as much as we can and acquire as much as we can. Life on the edge means life with no margin. Life without margin is a recipe for personal disaster. Margin is the space between your current performance and your limits. When you reach the limit of your resources, strength, capacity or self-control, you have no margin. And without margin, you have no room for error. The consequences of margin-less living are most apparent in our relationships. Love, intimacy, and friendship happen in the unstructured, unhurried world of margin. Together, we will explore God's answer to our self-destructive propensity to live as if we have no limits. (Six Sessions) This series starts this morning at 9:45. For questions, contact Jennifer Moore at 770.475.1622 or by email at jandksaunders@comcast.net.
