HOW DO I JOIN BUMC?
Complete and submit a membership form available on the BUMC web site or contact the church office for a hard copy. All new members must be baptized prior to joining the church. If you have not been baptized, please contact the office to
schedule a baptism. You may be baptized on the day you join. Contact Mary Mueller at 770.815.4980 to schedule the date and time you wish to join. New members may join any Sunday, at either service. Membership Sundays are scheduled on the fourth Sunday of each month for those who wish to join in a group setting. The next date is November 23.

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS
COPING WITH DIVORCE/GRIEF

Divorce and separation, grief and loss can make the holidays a painful time. But there’s hope. Join us for an encouraging seminar that will help you survive the holidays and discover new reasons to enjoy them again. The cost is $15 per person at the door. Childcare is provided by reservation. DAVE RAMSEY'S FPU COURSE IN JANUARY
By popular demand, a new Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University course will begin on January 5 and continue every Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through March 30 in the Fellowship Hall. This life-changing program teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. The materials cost $100 per household. 40 DAYS OF TRANSFORMATION

We are forming small groups for the church-wide event, 40 Days of Transformation. This is a 40-day study focusing on “Treasures of the Transformed Life: Satisfying Your Soul’s Thirst for More.” If you are not in a group and/or would like to lead a group, please contact Stan Purvis at 770.740.9559 or jpurvis818@aol.com. DINNER ON THE GROUNDS
Plan to celebrate the Thanksgiving season with your church family. Please join us for a delicious turkey dinner immediately after the service on November 23. There will be only one service at 10:30 a.m. that Sunday. Each family is asked to bring something.

MUST’S THANKSGIVING NEEDS
MUST Cherokee is collecting food for over 600 families for Thanksgiving. Needed items include cans of corn, green beans, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes; boxes of mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cornbread mix, and stuffing; jars of gravy or packages of gravy mix; pies and turkeys. Non-perishable items can be dropped off at BUMC before November 14 or at MUST from November 10 through 14 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Frozen turkeys and pies are accepted at MUST on November 24, 25 and 26 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Grocery gift cards are gladly accepted. WINTER COAT & CLOTHING DRIVE
A sincere thank you to everyone who donated items. We collected over 120 coats and jackets and many boxes of cold weather clothing for North Fulton Community Charities and Must Ministries. Collection bins will be in the Fellowship Hall through November should you identify additional items you would like to donate.
