The Children’s, Youth and Men’s Ministries sponsored a Fall Family
Campout the weekend of September 30, 2006. We had 67 people camp
overnight and another 34 people join just for Saturday’s activities.
There was a very competitive pick up football game, a candy drop by
a powered parachute pilot, a bean bag toss, the ‘Bubble Lady,’
Frisbees, a ‘Search for His Treasures’ scavenger hunt, hot dogs and
burgers for dinner, then worship, singing and smores around the
campfire. Even with a pretty scary thunderstorm at about 4:30 am
Sunday morning, we still had about 35 hard core campers who enjoyed
coffee, hot chocolate and a hot breakfast Sunday morning under clear
